Safety routines
A window and an open door
Every class room has a window, and the door stays open or has a window in it, so the room is easy to see into.
A grown-up in the room
A grown-up stays on the rug with each child for the whole class, so a child is not left alone with a teacher.
Arriving and leaving
Every child arrives with a grown-up and leaves with one. If someone else will collect your child, tell us ahead of time and we will say hello at the door.
When someone is ill
A child or grown-up with a fever or a stomach bug stays home. If a child becomes ill in class, the grown-up is already beside them, and a teacher helps you pack up.

Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
Please stay home with a fever, a stomach bug or a bad cold, and tell us by text or a call so we can plan a make-up class. Grown-ups with a cold, please stay home too.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for the main holidays, a week in the spring and a few weeks in the summer. When the weather closes the studio, we text families by 8 a.m. and offer a make-up class.
Drop-off and pickup
A grown-up arrives with each child, stays in the room for the whole class and leaves with them. If someone else will bring or collect your child, tell us ahead of time.
Arriving late
Text us if you are running behind. Classes start on time, and a child who arrives after the hello song is welcome to join in; we will find you a spot on the rug.
Staying in the room
A grown-up stays on the rug for the whole class, so there is no watching from the hall. Other family members are welcome when the class has room, and we host a family sing-along each season.
What to wear and bring
Wear clothes you can sit on the floor in. Shoes stay at the door, and socks or bare feet are fine.
