Questions about the classes

What age can my child start?

From about two months. Babies start in a lap, and children can stay with us until they turn five. Your child moves up to the next class when you and the teacher agree it fits.

How long is a class?

Babies have 30 minutes, crawlers, walkers, toddlers and preschoolers have 45, and the Saturday family classes have 60.

Does a grown-up have to stay?

Yes. A grown-up sits on the rug with each child for the whole class. A parent, grandparent or caregiver can come; tell us who will bring your child so we can say hello.

What if my child does not want to sit?

That is expected. Toddlers wander, watch and come back, and so do grown-ups. Nobody is asked to sit still or to perform.

Do we need instruments at home?

No. We bring the shakers, scarves and drums, and the take-home kit is a way to sing and shake along at home.

Can brothers and sisters come?

The Saturday family classes are for children of different ages together. In a weekday class, a baby in a carrier can come along to an older sibling's class.

How do I try a class?

Book a class online, or call us and we will book it for you. You stay on the rug with your child, and afterward we help you pick a weekly class.

What happens if we miss a class?

Tell us, and we will offer a make-up in another class for the same age when there is room.

How does tuition work?

It depends on the class length and the age group. We give you the figures in writing when you try a class, and we are glad to talk them through on the phone.

How do we leave the program?

Tell us a month before your last class, by email or at the front desk, and we will explain what happens to a session in progress.

Still wondering?

Call us or try a class, and ask the teacher on the rug.
